Todd Cassidy
Chief Executive Officer
With a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Todd cut his teeth working as a research assistant at Wake Forest University’s School of Medicine in 1987. He soon moved into the private sector, becoming the VP of Operations — and first employee — of Wiltek Medical, where he oversaw the design and engineering of endoscopic products.
In 2000, Todd struck out on his own, co-founding Diatek, Inc. to manufacture and develop hemodialysis catheters, as well as co-founding Cathtek, Inc. to supply OEM services to the Catheter industry. In the years since, Todd has also co-founded Springmed Group, LLC and joined the board of directors for C Change Surgical.
Mark Martel
VP, Engineering
Mark attended the University of Lowell, acquiring a B.S. in Plastics Engineering. His extensive experience in insert molding of catheters and components, tipping and other catheter-manufacturing operations began at Arrow International in 1988. He then joined Wilson-Cook Medical, where he was the Manager of their research and development department.
In 1996, Mark left Wilson-Cook to for his first company, MED-Innoventions, which specialized in OEM catheter development. This company became part of Diatek, Inc. in 2000, the same year Mark co-founded Cathtek. Since that time, Mark also co-founded Springmed Group, LLC and joined the board of directors for C Change Surgical.
Jessica Hughes
Director of Quality
Jessica received a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Business and Biotechnology from North Carolina State University. She started in microbiology at the Clinipad Corp. in 1993. She then moved on to regulatory and quality control positions at Medex, Inc., Wilson-Cook Medical and Cook Endoscopy.
In 2005, Jessica became the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Charter Medical, Ltd., where she obtained FDA clearance and ISO 13485 certification. In 2019, Jessica joined the Cathtek team, using her quality/regulatory background and FDA relationship to ensure successful quality assurance and regulatory compliance at every stage of production.
